Namunla pass and Annapurna Circuit alternative trekking route

Nepal alternative treks and expeditions designs the optional route via Namun La pass to Annapurna circuit  as  recently the classical route is degrading environment due to road construction. We have planned to take you through alternative route to avoide the dusty and muddy road.  Here is briefed about alternative route in short.

Dudhpokhari ( Milky Lake) situated on the border of Lamjung, Manang and Kaski districts of Nepal is at an altitude of around ( 5300m) above the sea level. Legend has it that three thousand year ago the Gurung (Tamu) community of Nepal entered this area from Tibet via Namun Bhanjyang pass and made their settlement here. There this place is also known as Tamuwan. The Tamu community had their own kind in the ancient period, you can see remains of their palace till now.

During the Janai Purnima ( Sacred thread ceremony) thousand of pilgrimage and visitors visit this place for holy worship. A lot of devotees take this place as the gateway to heaven. Zthere is a strong belief that if you take a bath in this Dudhpokhari ( Milky lake) three times then all you sins committed in this lifetime get purified. Therefore this place is rich in culture.

This Trekking is an interesting to walk into the Annapurna region following the village of Kalikasthan in Pokhara. You will pass the Namun La Banjyang with full of excitement and lots of fun. It can be defined as adventure trek of Annapurna region and one high difficult pass. But it is very exciting and the challenging Trekking. You can see the nice scenery of Annapurna, Manaslu and Lamjung ranges and other popular mountain scenery in this area.

As an American who has trekked and climbed often in the Himalayas nothing has compared to the service, kindness, professionalism and caring that I have always received from Tej and his company on many of my trips to Nepal.

You will find many companies offerring a similar package---- but the quality of what Tej offers has always made me return each time to use his services. Over the years, I have referred many of my friends to connect with Tej and they have always called me afterwards expressing their thanks and gratitude.

I wish all of those of you who choose to connect with Tej and his company to have the trip of a lifetime. I can say---- YOU WILL NEVER FORGET IT.

I was glad about to show my children the Annapurna circuit and Namun la pass. It was amazing to go with them and show there the rhododendron forests and feel the mountains again. I liked to see Dhan again. He is a wonderful guide and he has a nice family. The lunch at his home was really good. All this make to happen by Nepal alternative treks so I want to use this office again for next time.
