Mr. Tej Bahadur Gurung, Managing Director of Nepal alternative treks had a broad knowledge of not only trekking and climbing in the Nepal Himalayas but also culture and geological deep study. 34 years young man in age but old in experience graduated in Tourism study has been leading and organizing treks and tours over 17 years. After contributing individually to develop “Visiting Nepal 1998” successfully, the founder is strongly supported “Nepal tourism year 2011” to mak e a more enjoyable and new destination for valued costumers. He has come with new trekking and tour package programs. He is newly leading the groups to new destinations as "off the beaten track" and "alternative routes".
He loves to do something for society. As a result, he was elected 1st. Vice president of Trekking agency's Association of Nepal ( TAAN) 2015-2017 and the president of the Ganesh Himal tourism development committee ( GHTDC). He offers social tourism, culture tourism, educational tourism, and homestay to benefit directly to the back warded society. It is definitely fruitful for the tourists to see their lifestyle and understand the culture. As a sociologist, he has been involved in scientific research and survey trek and tour. He recently involved second-time research on the subject of “conflict and peace” for the rotary peace center at the Chulalongkorn University of Bangkok. An ethnic young potential man has hold a double Master's degree in Linguistic and Tourism Study. Now, He is a Ph.D. scholar in tourism from Lincoln University college, Kualalumpur, Malaysia.
Mr. Ammar Gurung, Senior Trekking Guide
Mr. Amar is experienced for 5 years as a trekking guide from Nepal alternative treks. He was born on the border of Tibet and Nepal " Ganesh Himal ruby valley region". He has been specialized for guiding in off the beaten trekking trails as Makalu base camp, Kanchanjunga, Manaslu, Ruby valley, Tsum valley, Nar Phu valley, and Mustang but as well as he is expert in classical trekking routes.

Balaram is from Rasuwa district “ The Land of Tamang”. He is a specialized trekking guide for remote trekking routes. He has been working for 5 years with Nepal alternative treks and he has experience of 15 years in tourism as a trekking guide. He speaks fluent English as well as many local languages. He has guided to all remote trekking destination as Kanchanjunga, Dhaulagiri round, Dolpo, Mustang, Rara lake trekking, Manaslu, Tsum valley, Tamang Heritage, Makalu base camp, Nar Phu valley, and Ruby valley trekking. Mr. Chhanda Ghale has been working as a trekking guide for 10 years from Nepal alternative treks. He has a good capacity for the arrangement of lodge, food, and itinerary during the trek. So, she was born to tour guide but she highly educated as a master's degree in a business study from Tribhuvan University and wrote a thesis paper in Buddhism then took a tour guide training. After that, she became a professional city tour guide. She is still studying a master's degree in tourism study. She has been working as a special professional tour guide for Kathmandu valley, Pokhara, Lumbini and Chitwan for 5 years. She speaks fluent English, Newari and speaks good Thai language too. She is very informative, knowledgeable, honest and hospitality.
Mr. Kumar Ghale, Government registered Trekking guide
Kumar Ghale is a government registered trekking guide. He worked as a porter in all trekking regions for 3 years and got promotion as a guide cum porter for 1 year. Now, He holds the trekking guide license and works as a professional trekking guide. He is young, passionate, honest, good English and local language speaking, informative about local culture. He has been working with Nepal alternative treks for 6 years. He is from the ruby valley region. He has been to all high altitude trekking areas as well as Annapurna, Langtang, Everest, Nar Phu valley, Mesokantola pass, and ruby valley.
Mr. Ram Gurung, Government registered Trekking guide
He started his career as a porter from Nepal Alternative treks before 4 years. He worked hard and upgraded as a porter cum guide. Now, he experienced, learned and improved himself to work as a Trekking guide. He just conducted trekking guide license last year in 2018 with grade "A". He is friendly, good English speaking, local language speaker and know the local culture deeply.
Mr. Laxman Gurung, Trekking guide
Born in Ruby valley, Dhading and moved to Kathmandu 4 years back to begin a career in Tourism as a porter. Mr. Ram worked hard and learned quickly to be upgraded and serve as a guide cum porter. He conducted guide training and started to work as a trekking guide since last year with Nepal Alternative treks.
