Normally, four seasons are considered in Nepal as autumn (September-October and November), Winter (December-January and February), Spring (March-April and May) and Monsoon (June, July and August)  each has its own particular attractions to offer.

In the winter, the weather is cool and the sky is clear with occasional snowfalls at higher elevations, the air is tinkling sharp and the stars have that crystal twinkle. This season is best for trekking in lower elevations generally below 3500m. The weather is at its finest and direst, great condition, in the mornings and nights are cold but daytime temperatures are mild when it is sunny. Low altitude trek to World heritage sites tour, Ghorepani/poon hill trek, Langtang trek, Helambu trek, Everest view trek, pilgrimage tour, Ghale gaun home stay and Ganesh himal home stay trek are recommended for winter season.
