It was my second trek through this company. Tej organized this trip very well too, Dhan treated me in very professional way and Strong porter. It was different in my last trip to upper mustang and this trip to Khumbila pass but no difference in arrangement. It was quiet along the pass and weather was perfect. There were no clouds at all for whole trekking. I think, I was very lucky and Tej recommended me in best time to trek. It is unforgettable moment for me. I already planned to trek again in Nepal. See you next year ! Thanks to all your team!

The service from both out guide and porter was excellent. They worked very hard to ensure we had the best experience and were very comfortable. Our guide was very responsible and I recommend him( Dhruba) as trustworthy, knowledgeable and hard working.
Our trek was made possible, fund and enjoyable because of Dhruba’s hard work. Furthermore both guide+porter were good humored, honest with good sense of humor.

gokyo lake via Chola pass trek !!! Deluxe Trip

Gokyo lakes via chola pass trekking one of Nepal's most famous treks, through the Khumbu Mountains - Sherpa country. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see some of the most unbelievable scenery imaginable. Nepal is a beautiful country, not only for its outstanding scenery, but for its people as well. The trek through the Khumbu region will allow you to experience both. You will pass through small Sherpa villages meeting friendly people at every turn, while at the same time gazing in awe at the many surrounding Himalayan peaks. Our ascent is well paced to allow time to experience and enjoy all the surroundings as well as to acclimatize. This trek is for those who love a sense of adventure, trekking at high elevations and wanting to push themselves to the limit. It is a tough, challenging, but exciting adventure. The trek follows well graded paths through the Khumbu region with somewhat tougher sections along the Khumbu glacier.

We begin our adventure with a short but scenic flight from Katmandu, the capital of Nepal, to the small mountain village of Lukla. You will experience the thrill of approaching and landing on its tiny runway!  Once leaving Lukla, and until we return, we spend our time trekking through the heartland of the Sherpa people, staying in their villages, experiencing their cultures and visiting Buddhist monasteries. Our trek follows the Dudh Koshi River, and along its route you will see distant views of Everest and neighboring Ama Dablam, considered by many to be among the most beautiful mountains in Nepal. A rest day will be spent at Namche Bazaar, the busy market town in the heart of Sherpa country and Gokeyo. These rest days allow time to explore the surrounding areas and to acclimatize.
The trail to Gokyo is a gradual ascent up the valley passing through patches of birch and rhododendron forest where the elusive musk deer can sometimes be seen. Through small yak-grazing settlements we reach the Gokyo lakes where we climb the Gokyo Peak (5480 m) and enjoy stunning summit mountain scenery including Everest, Makalu and Cho Oyo. After the Cho La pass, we reach Dzongla and further up the base camp.

Those who have fully acclimatized may trek to  Chola pass, Kallapathar and Everest Base Camp to view the famous Khumbu Icefall and see the numerous climbing groups preparing to climb Everest including high peaks.  However, without doubt, the highlight for most will be the early morning climb of Kala Pathar (5550 m/ 18315 ft). Standing on its peak, with the sun rising and Mt Pumori (7165 m/ 23644 ft) in the background, you will have a panoramic view of the Khumbu glacier, Everest Base Camp, Nuptse and the southwest face of Everest itself

Leaving Gorak Shep, we spend the next few days retracing our route down to Namche Bazaar. The trek down will be equally exciting, as you take in the views and reflect on your accomplishments and experiences. From Namche Bazaar, it is a very pleasant days walk to Lukla and your flight to Kathmandu.

From Lobuche, it is a 2 hour trek to Gorak Shep (5130 m/16929 ft) where we leave our bags at the Lodge. After lunch, we hike for 2 hours up the Khumbu Glacier to the EBC. After spending time viewing the famous Khubu Icefall and wandering through the ‘village’ of climbing groups, we return to Gorak Shep and stay overnight at lodge on FB basis.

Day 14 : Gorak Shep - Kala Pattar - Lobuche
We rise very early in the morning for the hike to Kala Pattar (5550m./18315ft.) Our objective is to reach the summit of Kala Pattar just as the sun rises. After 2 hours of hiking, you will stand on Kala Pattar, just beneath Pumori (7165 m/23644 ft). From here, you have an unobstructed view of the Everest south face, Nuptse and many other peaks. The scenery is breathtaking and you will want to extend your stay as long as possible to take picture after picture and enjoy the vast array of mountains that surround you. And, at some moment while you stand looking out over the scene below, you will realize the significance of your achievement and the great feeling of satisfaction of a job well done. Soon, however, we have to leave Kala Pattar and make our way back to Gorak Shep, then trek 2 hours to Lobuche and stay overnight at lodge on FB basis.

Day 15: Lobuche-Pheriche-Pangboche-Phortse
Today is downhill most of the way, as we retrace our steps to Thukla and descend to Pheriche. We continue down, passing the Pangboche village and take the trail on the opposite side of the Imja Khola toward Phortse (3700 m/ 12210 ft). The trail to Phortse gradually rises above the Imja Khola and the views to the west are spectacular. As you gain elevation, you see in the distance the Tangboche monastery sitting high on hill. Keep an eye open for sightings of musk deer along the way. We arrive at Phortse and stay overnight at lodge on FB basis.

Day 16 : Phortse- Mungla Danda- Namche Bazzar
Our trek takes us downhill from Phortse to the Dudh Kosi river. We cross the river and make our way through Phortse Thanga and from there, after many steep switchbacks uphill, to Mong. Again, the views from this elevation are outstanding as you look down the valleys to the west and admire the surrounding peaks. We descend and pass through Kenjoma on our way to Namche Bazzar and stay overnight at lodge on FB basis.

Day 17: Namche bazzar-Manju-Phakding- Lukla
From Namche Bazaar the trail descends steeply to the village of Jorsale. Passing the villages of Phakding and Choplung, we reach Chaunrikharka and the trail that leads up to the airport at Lukla. This is a long, but pleasant day of trekking and after 7 hours of walking you will be glad to reach the lodge in Lukla! This will be the final day of your trek and an opportunity to gather with your comrades, guides and porters to celebrate your achievement! Enjoy your last evening in the Khumbu region by relaxing at the lodge. Stay overnight on FB basis.

Day 18 : Lukla- Domestic airport Kathmandu- Hotel
In the morning, we rise early for breakfast, then walk to the airport. Before boarding the flight to Katmandu, you say goodbye to the porters and also goodbye to the mountains. The plane rolls down the short runway, then soars across the Dudh Kosi River and makes its way back to Katmandu.
