3.12.2009 Our Ghorepani trek with Simbir & Kul was a great time. I greatly appreciated their thoughtfulness along the trek, at meal times during a friends’ sickness and in the villages. I would highly recommend them to a friend.

The Ghorepani - Poon Hill trek is located in the Annapurna region of Western Nepal, known for some of the best trekking in Nepal . It is a short venture rich in nature’s diversity. This trek offers amazing mountain scenery and charming villages inhabited particularly by the Indigenous people of Gurung and Magar. You will pass through dense rhododendron forests, sub-tropical valleys, mossy forests and icy water falls where you can stop to cool your face. Around every corner are exciting glimpses of high mountains, whole horizons revealed to you as you reach the high point of your trek- all around the Annapurnas with the pictorial peak of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) dominating the skyline.
One of the main highlights of this trip is to make a climb on Poon Hill early in the morning, possibly the most magnificent mountain view on the earth. When sun rises, it touches the snow-capped summits of the Himalayan giant, Dhaulagiri (8,167m./26951 ft.) and Annapurna (8,091m./26700ft.) along with a web of other peaks, that gradually appear like magic in front of your eyes—a sight hard to believe.
During the journey, you will see a wide variety of wildlife, natural beautiy, local people's life style, typical homes, and breathtaking views with each & every footstep.
