Kathmandu City Tour
For over forty years, Nepal has been an extremely fascinating destination for tourist, trekker, river runner, wildlife enthusiast, poet, artist, writer, scholar, student or the weary in search of a personal Shangrila. It now contains countless architectural monuments, and vestiges of varied cultural and religious traditions. Out of ten UNESCO World Heritage Sites, seven cultural heritage sites are existed in Kathmandu Valley.
This verdant valley was once a huge lake, legend dictates that in the middle of the lake was a brilliant flame emanating from a Lotus flower. People would come from miles around to wonder and worship the flame. A Chinese disciple Bodhisattva Manjushree, wishing to worship the flame more closely sliced a portion of the hills with his sword draining its waters and thus the fertile Kathmandu valley was created.
The valley today incorporates three major settlements, while it was separated longtime back itself, all have their own distinctive character with outstanding temples, works of art and architecture and a varied calendar of feasts and festivals, their roots in being capital cities of the valleys three principality's in times gone by. Between them they boast the highest density of World Heritage Sites to be found anywhere in the World, seven in total. There are many other fascinating settlements in the valley offering their own reasons for being there.
In the late 18th century, following the founding of modern Nepal within more or less the present boundaries, Kathmandu was made the capital. Kathmandu, the largest city in Nepal is situated at an altitude of 1,350m and population about 2,076,365.

From the moment we arrived at Kathmandu, we felt well looked after when we saw Dhan waiting for us. The trekking was definitely wonderful with Dhan. The highlight with him knowing his way around and remaining flexible to our needs. The rafting, Everest Mountain flight and female tour guide Sarita showing us around the city were also excellent.
In the end, everything was great!
We would definitely use Dhan and Nepal alternative treks again when we come back trekking next year!!

This is my first visit to Nepal and this trek has been nothing short of perfect. Mr Dilip and our porter Mr. Lal were excellent nothing was too much trouble and the views were incredible! The highlight was the dawn trek up to poon hill to see the sun rise over the mountains. Mr. Tej arranged everything and after the trek for our trip to Bhaktapur for the Nepali new year. A fantastic trip with a fantastic company 11/10 if I ever come to Nepal again I’ll use this company without hesitation.

Guides were pleasant, knowledgeable & fantastic. The car trip from Kathmandu to Pokhara was amazing. Sun rise from Sarangkot was unbelievable, cave and temple was interesting. Visiting to Durbar Squares and historical temple was informative and gave insight into Nepal history. The visit to the rain god was wow and helped to explain the people’s livings and dependency on nature. The women enjoyed shopping for Nepalese items. Thanks so much Tej Nepal alternative director, Sarita female tour guide in Kathmandu and Dillip for taking us to Pokhara and Sarangkot. See you next time soon !

Nepal is an overall full of adventures tour, very well supported by tej and his team. Special thanks to both of our guides Hari and Sarita, both were well informed about their areas. Especially Hari was sweet heart! He made us laugh and enjoy throughout the trip. The cultural & religious stories shared by Sarita will make us remember Nepal throughout our life. Tej was also a great support in making this trip/tour worthy after arrival we made changes to our plan around 3 times but never heard the word “ not possible” from Tej.
Inshallah will come back to Nepal next time for ABC or EBC !!!
Good luck to Tej and Team, well recommended!

They saw Nepali life and for sure we will definitely come back some day in our life to view in the mountain area to look at the real ethnic life of NEPAL !
At the end we would like to wish all the best to Tej and his team to keep up the great work they are doing.
Best wishes & regards,
