After half an hour drive by Jeep or Public bus from Pokhara, trekking can be started immediately crossing the Mardi River, if the trekkers want to get immediately close mammal. So the trekkers can experience the perfect natural sites.
The blending of rich cultural heritage of diverse ethnic groups like Gurung, Tamang, Magar, Damai, Kami, Sarki, Chetri, Newar, and Brahmins, etc with the eye catching views of snowcapped mountains like Mt. Mardi, Mt. Machhapuchre, and Annapurna Himalayan ranges from the close proximity. The opportunity to experience the combinations of rich flora & fauna, mountain forest, varied birds species, wild flowers, wild animals, and natural hot spring are supplementary attractions for visitors of all kinds.
The Mardi-river Valley in Rivan & Lahachok area is an appropriate place for swimming, fishing and watching migrant birds. A natural Cave formed by rock and limestone and Tea garden are the other attractions of the areas. It seems to be the most pleasurable resting place on the lap of Nature. Day 1: Kathmandu arrival
Arriving in Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), you will be met by a Nepal Alternative Treks airport representative. Transfer by Private car/ Van (depends on size of group) to the selected hotel( Hotel Marshyangdi) at thamel in Kathmandu(1290m./4273). Stay there overnight on B/B basis.
Day 2: Visit world heritage sites in Kathmandu
Full day Kathmandu sight seeing (world heritages sites) - Â Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Boudhanath stupa and pashupatinath temple by private car/van (depends on group size) and tour guide. Stay at same hotel on B/B basis.
Day 3: Kathmandu-Pokhara
Drive to Pokhara (200 km.) 6/7 hours driving by Green line tourist bus at 7:00 am from Kantipath. And stay over night at selected hotel( hotel Panorama point)near by Lake side.
Day 4:Pokhara- Fedi- Pothana
Drive to Phedi half hour driving by car and trek to Pothana (1950 mtr.6435ft.) 4 hours walking then stay over night at lodge on FB basis.
Day 5: Pothana-Koke
Trek to Koke (forest camp) (2600 mtr./8580ft.) 7 hours walking then stay over night at camping on FB basis.
Day 6: Koke – Ekle Deurali
Trek to Ekle Deurali (low camp) (3500 mtr./11550 ft.) 6 ½ hours walking then stay over night at camping on FB basis.
Day 7: Ekle Deurali- Bagale Deurali
Trek to Bagale deurali (Kew) (3900 mtr./12870ft.)Â 6 hours walking stay then over night at camping on FB basis.
Day 8: Bagale Deurali- Mardi Himal
Trek to Mardi Himal base camp west (view point) (4450 mtr./14685ft.)Â 7 hours walking then stay over night at camping on FB basis.
Day 9:Mardi Himal – Sirkha Kharka
Trek back to Sirkha kharka (3460 mtr./11418ft.)Â 8 hours walking then stay over night at camping on FB basis.
Day 10: Sirkha Kharka- Karchon
Trek to Karchon (3682 mtr./12150ft.)Â 7 hours walking then stay over night at camping on FB basis.
Day 11: Karchon – Samsur Deurali
Trek to Samsur deurali (2939 mtr./9698ft.) 7 hours walking then stay over night at camping on FB basis.
Day 12: Samsur Dearali- Hile Kharka
Trek to Hile kharka (2160 mtr./7128ft.)Â 7 hours walking then stay over night at camping on FB basis.
Day 13: Hile Kharka- Rimdang Village
Trek to Rimdang village (1430 mtr./4719ft.)Â 7 hours walking then stay over night at camping on FB basis.
Day 14: RimdangVillage-Annate Thanti- Pokhara
Trek to Annate thanti and drive back to Pokhara by Taxi an hour then stay over night at selected hotel ( Hotel Panorama point) at lakeside in pokhara then stay there overnight on b/b plan.
Day 15: Pokhara- Kathmandu
Drive to Kathmandu (200 km.) 6/7 hours driving by Green line tourist bus at 7:30 am from pokhara. And stay over night at selected hotel ( Hotel Marshyangdi) at thamel  in kathmandu on B/B plan. In the evening, you are cordially invited to a farewell dinner where you will experience typical Nepali food and cultural entertainment, courtesy of Nepal Alternative Treks.
Day 16: Nepal Alternative Treks provides you free transportation to Trivuwan international airport and departure to your home or other destination.

1. Is previous hiking experience required to go on a trek ?
As long as you are in good physical shape, you do not require any hiking experience for short treks. However, if you are planning a trek longer than a week, some physical fitness programs such as running, swimming, hiking is recommended before you embark on a trek.

What is Teahouse Trekking? And how it is organized?
Teahouse trekking is guided walking and very popular in the well-developed tourist regions including Annapurna, Everest and Langtang Helambu, where western cuisine as well Nepalese food (Dalbhat) is available. Overnight accommodation is in good, clean guest houses, lodges and hotels.
