Nagarjun hill is one of the famous Buddhist stupa on the Nagarjuna Hill which is about 7km. from Kathmandu on western skyline. A motor able road leads through Raniban (Queen Forest) to this stupa. It takes about 45 minutes to reach there in motor/jeep while hike is about 5 km. on foot and takes about 2 hours. It is quite steep and one has to climb about 754 m. as the stupa is situated on the top of the Nagarjun hill at 2128m. This hill is also described in literature as Vindya Mountain.
Kakani is situated 23 km. away northwest from Kathmandu standing proudly at the elevation of 2,073m. It is most popular of immense pleasure and spectacular view of the Himalayas like Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang and Gaurishankhar etc. It takes an hour driving to reach there and 3/4 hours hiking from Kathmandu.

Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,295 m/4,273 ft.)
Arriving in Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), you will be met by a Nepal Alternative Treks airport representative. Transfer by Private car/ Van (depends on size of group) to the select Hotel Marshyangdi. Stay overnight on B/B basis.
Day 2:Â Visit world heritage sites in Kathmandu
Full day Kathmandu sight seeing (world heritages sites) - Â Boudhanath stupa, Pashupatinath temple, Monkey temple and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Private car/van (depends on group size) and tour guide. Stay at same hotel on B/B basis. Â
Day 3:Â Kathmandu- Nagarjun- Bhaktapur
Drive private vehicle to Nagarjun Gate and hike 2 hours to the Nagarjun hill ( 2100m./6930ft.). You will have great view of Kathmandu valley after good hiking and also visit Buddhist stupa then climb down to Nagarjun gate.
After lunch drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square to explore one of the oldest cities with rich of culture and art. It is also a historical place. Stay there over night at hotel on b/b plan
Day 4: Bhaktapur- Kakani- Kathmandu
Drive to Kakani ( 2073m./6840ft.) 1:30 hour for Panoramic view of high mountains as Fishtail, Manaslu, Ganesh himal, Gaurishankar, Dorje Lakpa, Langtang lirung and many more. You will hike down to Osho tapoban meditation center exploring typical villages, terrace and lifestyle of poor people. Stay at Hotel Marshyangdi over night on b/b basis.
In the evening, you are cordially invited to a farewell dinner where you will experience typical Nepali food and cultural entertainment, courtesy of Nepal Alternative Treks.
Day 6: Departure
Nepal alternative treks provide you free transportation to Trivuwan international airport and departure to your home or other destination.
